A brief synopsis of some of our benefit offerings are outlined below, most of which are offered at no cost to our employees.

HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS

HEALTH BENEFIT PROGRAM:  Program provides in-patient, out-patient, behavioral health and prescription drug coverage.

DENTAL PROGRAM:  Coverage is available for preventive, simple restorative, major restorative and orthodontia dental procedures. 

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS: This program allows employees to use pre-tax dollars deducted from their pay to help cover eligible out-of-pocket health/dental expenses and dependent care (daycare) costs.

LIFE AND AD&D INSURANCE:  Lancaster General Health provides eligible employees with life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. 

PENSION PLAN:  The benefit is equal to an accumulation of .75% of each year’s pay during employment with Lancaster General Health.  Participants are vested after the completion of five calendar years of 1,000 or more hours of service. 

RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN:  Employees are automatically enrolled in the Retirement Savings Plan.  Lancaster General Health matches employee contributions, up to 3% of compensation.  Participants are vested in employer matching contributions after the completion of three calendar years of 1,000 or more hours of service. 

PAID TIME BANK (PTB):  The Paid Time Bank provides compensation for holidays, personal, short-term or intermittent illness absences and vacation days.

SHORT TERM DISABILITY (STD):  Lancaster General Health employees accrue STD hours each pay period.  Employees who accumulate 480 STD hours will be awarded Maximum STD and have their STD hours replenished after each disability period.

LONG TERM DISABILITY (LTD):  Lancaster General Health provides employees with LTD for absences greater than 90 consecutive days, due to a disabling illness.

WORK-LIFE BENEFITS

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:  This program provides confidential counseling services for you and your family members. 

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE FUND:  This fund provides financial support for employees facing a wide range of temporary circumstances that cause or create personal or family hardships.

CONVENIENCE PHARMACY:  Employees are given discounts on prescription drugs, as well as a discount on over-the-counter items, through the LG Health Convenience and Lifecare Pharmacies.

VOLUNTARY SHORT TERM DISABILITY:  Employees have the option to purchase additional disability income insurance. This benefit helps to safeguard income in the event of a prolonged illness or injury.

VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE PLANS & ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT:  Employees may purchase optional life insurance for themselves and their dependents at low group insurance rates.

ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS & BENEFITS:  Free parking, discounted meals at cafeterias, subsidized child care facility, on-site fitness center, free immunizations and health screenings, Home in the City Program, Credit Counseling services, and Auto/Home Insurance discounts. 

The EMPLOYEE SERVICE CENTER offers additional services, such as dry cleaning, internet accessibility, fascimile and copy machines.  You may also purchase discounted transit tickets, movie tickets, special show tickets, amusement park tickets, as well as access to additional coupon offers.
